The logging operation started last October, and continues through the winter.  Our friend is a one man operation, and has done a nice job clearing trees, and leaving enough trees, mostly birches and pine, for growth.   Some of our trees were  brought to the firewood guy that we bought wood from last year.  Some went for wood pulp and some for lumber.
